METODOLOGIA PARA MAPEAMENTO DO CONSUMO DE ENERGIA EM REDES DE TELECOMUNICAÇÕES

Abstract

This work is about the development andspecification of a test bench aiming to assess the parametersof energy consumption in equipments of telecommunicationsnetwork and, at the same time, check the parameters ofservice quality offered by the network. For this purpose, anetwork with two computers, a wireless router and anetwork of sensors is used as a basis to measure the energyconsumption of the equipments. Through this approach, itwill be possible to subject this network to various trafficconditions, in order to check the energy consumption of thenetwork equipments involved in the experiment. Theimplementation allows to demonstrate technically anddidactically that the energy consumption varies dependingon the conditions of data transmission, i.e., in relation tonoise, packet loss and other phenomena known in excess atthe time of communication.Keywords - energy consumption, telecommunicationsnetwork, quality of service, electric power.
