TEACHING OF DESCRIPTIVE GEOMETRY IN THE PROCESS OF SOLVING PROBLEMS IN THE SYSTEM OF INNOVATIVE ENGINEERING EDUCATION
Abstract
Engineering education requires knowledge andskills to formulate and solve various problems competently. Methods of teaching descriptive geometry, to the first yearstudents of mining-oil faculty of Perm State TechnicalUniversity, are aimed at the formation and development ofskills required for future specialists in the process of solvingproblems: the study of real-world engineering problemsusing graphical simulation (the transition from concrete toabstract objects and vice versa); ability to solve the sameproblem by different methods, which allows you to select theoptimal solution; the inclusion elements of research andanalysis in the task; solving engineering problems, whichstudents formulate on their own, using literature in theirspecialty; direct and inverse problems; teamwork. Russianand foreign experience of teaching is used, as well as ourown innovations. The use of such non-traditionalpedagogical decisions introduces first-year students withcognitive, engineering and communication activities.Index Terms ⎯ Descriptive geometry, oil and miningfaculty, solving engineering problems.
