In "Dropsie Avenue: the neighborhood," agraphic novel published in 1995, Will Eisner translates tocomics the life cycle of a neighborhood over a century inshort speeches fragmented, giving other meanings to thisprocess especially because of the grammar used to, thatgoes beyond a mere official approach, giving voice to theirsocial actors. Understanding the city as a mediationprocess, the cartoonist will, especially through theimmateriality of their spatialitys, social networks andcommunicative practices, build a communicative thinking ofthe city, using for this the resources offered by the languageof comics, an amalgam between text and image. Therefore,to expose how Eisner sees and appropriates himself not onlyof the reality but also of his memories and how he constructshis narrative, creating another cartography of the city, is thefocus of this paper.Index Terms ⎯ City, Comics, Spaciality, Will Eisner.
