Abstract


This paper describes the evolution of the meansof communication until it reaches the instant messengers ofnowadays. The main success cases of instant messengers(and their characteristics) are listed. We focused a bit moreon Twitter due to its current appeal on the web. Lastly, wetalk about how to use the instant messengers, pointing theirsadvantages and disadvantages, and how they are impactingthe social communication.Index Terms – Instant messengers, twitter, technology,social communication.
