A MODEL FOR SOCIAL BEHAVIOR TO EVALUATE INFORMATION FLOW
Abstract
A virtual human simulator that deals with therelationship between agents, and with the transmission andpublishing of information (by TV, Radio, etc.) is presented. The modeling is performed by using ontology that is aformal representation, in which we can share knowledgeamong agents. Cognitive aspects are considered for them;therefore, the agents can receive and assimilate news andtalk to each other and make decisions in a better way. Moreover, the reception and transmission of information, reasoning evaluation, and the evolution of how many agentsknow some information are considered. Two possibilities areimportant during the simulations, (1) when the agents talk toeach other or (2) when the information is just madeavailable and the agents can perceive it. The results showthe evaluation of the influence of a social networkcommunication and of the impact of mass communicationactivity at the dynamics of information flow.Index Terms ⎯ Communication, Ontology, Social Network,Virtual Human Simulation.
