Abstract


The article analyzes the process of creating inthe studio Casa Conrado, pioneer in the diffusion of thestained glass art in Brazil. Tells briefly part of CasaConrado’s studio history, indicating the stained glasspartnerships with architects and artists. Notes especiallythe use of the card, a procedure established in the routineof the studio, which was the representation of the design ofstained glass, colored drawing on a scale indicatingsuggestions for cuts from glass and frames. It became thebasis on which the stained glass window trying to matchthe idealized image of the customer Casa Conrado coverthe technical making of stained glass, in constant dialoguewith the artist who sketched. The analysis of the cardallows the understanding of the craftsmanship of thestained glass in the broadest sense, how it happened inBrazil, especially in the studio Casa Conrado.Index Terms — creative processes; cultural heritage;sketch; stained glass.
