Abstract


Starting from two metaphors – the existence asnavigation, that finds in the shipwreck the urge of man todeath and the ultimate goal of fatigue, proposed by HansBlumenberg in the work that the title of this communicationrefers directly, and the desert island imagined by GillesDeleuze as destination of the man who separates himselffrom the world, following the impulse that leads to it andmaking coincide the absolute of desert with the absolute ofcreation, just to give back its own originality, i.e., toimaginatively produce it – it will be discussed the conditionof everyday as a place of drift(s), at the intersection of theconcepts of utopia, dystopia and heterotopia enunciated byMichel Foucault and taking as case studies the works of theartists Allan Sekula, Tacita Dean e Cildo Meireles exhibitedin the latest Biennial de São Paulo.Index Terms ⎯ Desert island, everyday, shipwreck, (u-dyshetero)topia
