Abstract


The Art/Education proposal named "Ideas in theWind" took shape in the second quarter of 2008, includingsix 8th grade classes (Basic Education students) from afederal school: Escola de Aplicação da UniversidadeFederal do Pará. The 8th graders presented the theme"Ideas in the Wind" using images and texts pasted overcurtains and cloth ribbons, created by abstract thoughts.They gathered written messages from the academicenvironment, so that all forces, either coming from theimages or from the words, would protect and respect theliving space. All the participants shared a poetic experiencewhich emcompassed abstraction concepts, from the publicand private realms, regarding the care or our planet. Therewas a common meaning: the belief that we own a potentialto make a difference in the world, even if such a world, at afirst glance, strikes us as being of a so small cutting.Index Terms ⎯ Transformation, ideas, poetic visual.
