CULTURA, ARTE E SOCIEDADE: REFLEXÕES A PARTIR DA LINGUAGEM CORPORAL DA CAPOEIRA ANGOLA E SUAS LINHAS DESENHADAS NO ESPAÇO
Abstract
Dance-fight-game, art, religiosity, therapy,entertainment, ritual act, in short, "a way of being," aresome of the various definitions/qualities attributed to theafro-brazilian cultural manifestation called “CapoeiraAngola”. Multivocal polysemic in its essence, CapoeiraAngola is expressed in different languages which rangesfrom the types of touches of the musical instruments thatmake up the orchestra, through different types of songs,until we get the non-verbal communication established bythe bodies of “capoeiristas” in the game and/or in thetraining body situation. The aim of this paper is to think ofthe line drawing in space, a significant problem in theexecution of body movements of this practice. To addressthe relationship between line, efficiency and aesthetics ofbody movements, it is developed an ethnography in theAcademy of João Pequeno de Pastinha-Sports Center ofCapoeira Angola, based on anthropological interpretativeapproach, in which the concept of culture is semiotic.Index Terms ⎯ Academia de João Pequeno de Pastinha,Body movement, Capoeira Angola, Culture and BrazilianArt.
