Abstract

Compounds hormone disruptors (CDH) are
environmental contaminants that interfere with the
hormonal system, affecting communication and changing
the chemical messengers that move permanently into our
body. They can be organic or inorganic substances, used
in urban or rural areas (waste dumps) and found in the
environment, in hospital areas, in some types of drugs and
supplies for sterilization of surgical equipment and
household waste. The HRC operate at very low doses, they
have different mechanisms of action and include a large
number of substances with chemical structures very
different, besides, consequently, cause adverse effects on
human health. The most important effects occur in
embryos exposed during pregnancy and lactation, and
also affect reproduction and health of other animal
species.
