APLICAÇÃO DO SISTEMA DE VIDEOCONFERÊNCIA PARA MINIMIZAÇÃO DO USO DE TRANSPORTES

Paulo Alexandre Coutinho Gonçalves, Paulo Alves Garcia

Abstract

The city of São Paulo has an excess of vehicles
in circulation, causing major traffic jams at peak times and
slow traffic. Traffic jams can generate big waste of time and
fuel usage. The air quality in Sao Paulo in the early twentyfirst century on average reaches worrying levels. With the increasing number of vehicles, pollution levels tend to
become more extreme, bringing a serious risk to public
health. Many vehicles are used for business purposes and
this way, the use of videoconference can replace this need of transportation by the use of a real-time communication at a distance. With the use of videoconference, there would be a reduction in the use of vehicles and consequent reduction in the emission of pollutants. This work studies the use of the videoconference system in order to replace the use of
transport for business and also it analyzes its consequent
cost reduction.
