IMPACTOS AMBIENTAIS DE ELEMENTOS TÓXICOS EM RECURSO HÍDRICO DO MUNICÍPIO DE BARCARENA-PA

Abstract


The conditions of the Murucupi river, Barcarena-PA, has been evaluated in relation to toxics elements afteraccident on April 27, 2009 where the red mud originatedfrom the Alunorte company was dumped into river. Weanalyzed the Al, Ba, Cd, Cu and Fe by ICP-AES. Accordingto CONAMA Resolution 357/05 of aluminum (5588.27 ±1683.78 ng/mL) was above the resolution (<100 ng/mL) inall points ranging from 1918.80 to 7389.20 ng/mL. Thecadmium (3.37 ± 1.88 ng/mL) was above the resolution (<1ng/mL) in all points ranging from 1.90 to 8.20 ng/mL. Thecopper (19.35 ± 8.97 ng/mL) was above the resolution (<9ng/mL) in all points ranging from 11.90 to 37.70 ng/mL. Theiron (798.34 ± 137.98 ng/mL) was above the resolution(<300 ng/mL) in all points ranging from 610.80 to 1041.00ng/mL.Index Terms - Toxics elements, red mud, water river.
