VISUAL-ED: UMA FERRAMENTA PARA APRENDIZAGEM DE PROGRAMAÇÃO

Abstract

This article presents VisualED, which is a sophisticatedLearning Object for learning advanced programming.While an execution of a program is simulatedstep by step, it provides graphical visualization for commondata structures, like lists, queues, stacks, trees and graphs.VisualED has been developed at the Department of ComputerScience at the University of Brasilia and it is built in Java.It also allows the student to view the files in use and whichelement is being read or written on the console. It has aspecial area to show to students some explanation that theteacher considers necessary in a particular step.Index Terms – Data Structure, Learning Object, VisualizationTool.
