Abstract

In the current operating systems, ObjectOriented modeling tools are being partially used, becausethey stand on traditional concepts of process, memorylocation and file. At the moment, the system integrativearchitecture is based on an abstract machine which offers aminimal functionality and an operating system that has toextend this functionality, thus colliding with the startingfunctionalities of the system. The aim of the study is toconfirm that the modeling of an operating system by meansof Unified Language techniques has some inconveniences indefining the required procedures, specially those issuesrelated with low level interaction, being necessary thecreation or redefinition of tools which allow the modeling ofa generic operative system having also the vision of a ObjectOriented comprehensive system as grounding part of adistributed operating system.
