ABORDAJE INNOVADOR EN LA INTEGRACIÓN DE ACTIVIDADES CURRICULARES DEL ÃREA DIGITAL DE LA CARRERA DE INGENIERÃA ELECTRÓNICA

Abstract

About fifteen years ago, the ElectronicEngineering Department of the National TechnologicalUniversity of Buenos Aires was structured grouping thecurricula in Knowledge Areas. One of them was the DigitalArea. It was assumed that its contents should be changingcontinuously with the evolution of the technology so aparticular coordination effort should be taken in order toprovide to the students a complete understanding base tofacilitate their performance in the first professional job or inthe access to an investigator career. It was accepted that areal project (including circuit design, simulation, firmware,software design, prototype construction, testing andoptimization) should be recommended as mandatory topromote the assignatures. A common functional test shouldbe applied to all the area students to simulate (as near aspossible) the evaluation of their projects in a real world jobor laboratory.
