ADMINISTRAÇÃO ACADÊMICA DE CURSOS DE ENGENHARIA NAS INSTITUIÇÕES PRIVADAS DE ENSINO SUPERIOR
Abstract
Courses of engineering in Brazil acted onlyaiming the pedagogical part, isolating itself of theadministrative area. It didn’t have the concern withcompetitiveness, costs and strategies. Currently, this scenesuffered modifications with the expansion of the superioreducation, demanding a new profile of professionals to actas course managers. To be coordinating requireseducational knowledge, of legislation and management totake care of the demands of the pupils, professors andInstitution, beyond flexibility front to the conflicts. Thecoordinators had started to act as business-orientedmanagers integrating the pedagogical area andadministrative-financier. To act as coordinating is to bemore than a mediator between pupils and professors, areto recognize the necessities of the area and to takedecisions that can benefit all the academic community.Technique, centered in the operational way is not onlyabout ability, but yes, in the knowledge articulated toinitiative, motivation and interpersonal relations.
