Abstract

Three phase multipulse ac – dc converters aredeveloped for improving power quality in terms of powercorrection, to reduce total harmonics distortion in ac mains, and ripples in dc outputs. This work proposes a methodologyto generalize the delta-connections for 12 and 18-pulseautotransformers. The proposed methodology allowschoosing any ratio between the input and the outputvoltages. The converters can operate either as step-up orstep-down voltage. The converter with connectionDifferential Delta are not isolated, the use of the no isolatedtopologies reduced volume, weight and cost of the converter. This work shows a detailed study of the connection throughmathematical analysis, diagrams and simulations. Resultswill be presented through graphics seeking an optimizationfor topology employed. So you can get a better methodologyfor choosing the multipulse converter. Finally an analysis ismade with respect to power processed by the core of thetransformer.
