Brazil, through the Ministry ofEducation, established in 2005 the system Open Universityof Brazil (UAB), for the articulation and integration of anational programme of education over distance, seeking theexpansion, democratisation and internalization. Thus, it isintended to minimize inequality of supply between differentregions of the country. This new and challenging contextthat surrounds the UAB provides the lifting of many issues ofsearches that help in monitoring, in evaluating the processand effectiveness of public social policy. In that sense, themain objective of this study is to examine the model ofdecentralized management of UAB at the University ofBrasilia and the poles presence. The research will bedescriptive, exploratory and explanatory, the methodadopted is qualitatively and quantitatively.
