Abstract

Currently, the number of students who enter infederal universities is increasing. But the difficulties of thesestudents in the basic cycle successfully are perceived. Thisproblem increases mainly in universities located in smalltowns. Many are graduates in electrical engineering that hasdelayed its course, because they disapproved of the cycle inbasic subjects such as mathematics and physics. Among thepossible causes of this momentary failure stand out: the hischoolformation,, the absence of emotional intelligence andhabits of study. This study attempts to quantify andcharacterize the problem of disapproval in the basic cycle ofelectrical engineering in federal universities. It is believedthat this study may help in the effective training of studentsand improving the quality of the course.
