Abstract

Technology has developed a broader meaningthroughout modern and contemporary history. This wasestablished by social relationships and by the subjective waythat these matters are dealt. Technology is tangible intechnological instruments, as well as, in the subtle part thatit plays in the people imaginary and daily life. Technologicalcourses mainly emphasize the first way, searching fortechnical/technological solutions that generate instrumentscapable of surpassing human capacity. The second way, lessacclaimed in these courses, is the focus of this article thatsearches for a basis for subjects of humanities intechnological courses. The developed techniques areconsidered cultural expressions. However, the so calledtechnoscience achieved such reach that it embarrasses othercultural expressions which highly affects society.Technology acquires an ideological weight; it is associatedwith power, domination, and social control, economicaldevelopment, civilizing progress, and massive productionsystem, ethical and environmental issues.
