Abstract

The issue of land by the home household
hazardous waste, industrial or pesticide, is not a problem
restricted to developed countries, but also occurs in
developing countries, like Brazil. The profile of urban
regions imply the existence of stockpiles of waste, known as
landfills, that without an effective monitoring can lead to
contamination of groundwater. Another factor that
contributes to the generation of waste that cause
environmental impacts, leading to contamination of soil and
groundwater is the concentration of industrial parks, whose
effluents are often not properly treated.
This study intends to propose an effective and constant
monitoring at sites of deposition of organic waste or not,
using electric resistivity processes in order to detect possible
contamination in its initial process, thus avoiding that in the
surrounding region is affected.
