APLICAÇÃO DE SIMULAÇÕES PARA A MELHORIA DO PROCESSO DE ENSINO-APRENDIZAGEM DO COMPORTAMENTO DE DIFERENTES SISTEMAS DE PRODUÇÃO DE BENS
Abstract
This paper presents a participatory teaching
method applied in undergraduate courses in Production
Engineering from Federal University of Paraiba (Brazil).
This method provided an environment of active learning,
contextualized in real situations in order to complement
production systems concepts learning. Different scenarios
were simulated: craft production, tayloristic, fordist and
toyotist. They were defined by the parameters division of
labor, lot size, production planning method and layout.
Using building blocks as raw material, students assumed
roles like worker, materials mover and, quality inspector.
After simulation, the systems behavior was analyzed considering
the variables volume of production and inventory,
productivity, quality and customer service. This work shows
the matching between systems characteristics presents in the
literature review and the simulation environment.
Index Terms ⎯ handmade and industrial systems, taylorism,
fordism, toyotism, participative teaching method.
