Abstract

The choice of a computational architecture in
projects of sensors monitoring systems must satisfy to
certain restrictions that determine the intensity of insertion
of these products in their application markets. Of these
restrictions, one of most relevant is, mainly in portable
solutions, the power consumption. In this paper will be
presented the accomplished considerations by students and
professors of a graduate discipline of Computer Science and
Engineering courses at UESC and UFPE, for the choice of a
low-power processing unit used in the acquisition and
treatment of data originated from monitoring systems by
sensors.
