INCREASING SIGNIFICANCE OF PEOPLE SKILLS FOR FUTURE ENGINEERS

Abstract

Students' natural hunger for education arises
particularly there, where the students expect a clear gain in
competences and or skills for their professional qualification
and where they hope to gain clear competence increase in
regard to their practical requirements and also personal
deficits. This contribution, therefore, tries to light up the
different relationships and from that to derive useful
suggestions for the future study.
This contribution tries to illustrate, using the example of a
university mechanical engineering study, that the students’
desire to enhance their social competences and intercultural
education have strongly increased. Different influence
factors play a role here. In addition, the reasons and causes
are lit up accordingly and presented in the verbal
presentation for discussion.
