A EXIBIÇÃO DE FILMES EM FESTIVAIS DE CINEMA EM PORTUGAL: DADOS ESTATÃSTICOS DA DIVULGAÇÃO CULTURAL E LINGUÃSTICA

Abstract

Considering the numeric diversity, geographicscattering and the context of organization, movie festivals inPortugal represent a particular case of communication andart, from the point of view of film exhibition and theunderlying process of film selection. In this context, wherediversity in the origin, form and genre of the exhibited worksis very large, we will seek to identify the reasons that havemotivated this diversity, as well as its advantages in theopinion of the Portuguese audience. The approach to thisissue will be based on the collection of statistic data, whichare inherent to the functioning of movie festivals inPortugal. Finally, the presentation of the specificorganization model of the AVANCA festival, as a particularcase of study, makes it possible to give contributions for therespective proposals for cultural and linguisticdissemination.Index Terms ⎯ AVANCA, diversidade, Festivais de cinema,Portugal.
