ASPECTOS DA QUESTÃO IDENTITÁRIA NA LUSOFONIA

Abstract

The present paper aims to analyze the identityissues referring to Portuguese language, which is used intwo distinct places and contexts. Considering the languagean important factor to the identity construction, the articleapproaches the relevant aspects of this formation.Highlighting the Portuguese language, the term“Lusophony” will be exploited, as well as the way that it canbe applied in places where this language might be used,even it is not the country’s official language. In order tothat, it will be studied the ways of the Portuguese use inCape Verde, ex-colony of Portugal, and also in a Portuguesecommunity in France (Associação de Portugueses deFontenay), by a brief analysis of colonization matters, theDiaspora and cultural hybridism. Through this analysis itwill be possible to comprehend how the language makepossible for the identity to manifest itself in different ways.Index Terms ⎯ Cape Verde, diaspora, France, Identity,Lusophony.
