Abstract

People with bias disposition usually view mostAfrican heritages with feeling of contempt.   In this regardthey are described in various derogatory words as primitive,or lacking in substance. While it is known that lots of non-Africans exhibit negative attitudes towards our culturaltendencies, (due to their ignorance). The situation is morepathetic to observe that a sizeable native Africans,subsequent upon their interaction with the western world,are now involved in the anti African cultural patronages. Itis in line with this that it becomes necessary to do a study onSango; the Yoruba god of thunder and Lightning. The paperlooks at the attitudes and attributes of the deity especiallywith regards to his different rapport with arts in general,which were quite unknown to lots of people.
