ENTRE A FICÇÃO E A NÃO-FICÇÃO: ERROS E ACERTOS DA PRODUÇÃO FÃLMICA BRASILEIRA SOBRE O FUTEBOL NOS ÚLTIMOS 50 ANOS
Abstract
Contrary to common sense of some researchers, who think that football is a missing element of Brazilian filmproduction, this paper seeks to analyze the significantnumber of fictional films and documentaries that dialoguewith this sport from the 1960s in Brazil. One characteristicof this production is the presence of fiction films whose plotinsists on playing - almost invariably so little success - themovement of real football moves. Another trend, in our viewhappiest is the production of documentaries that do notbother to play the game fictionally images, since images takeadvantage of real matches. Both perspectives, however, contribute to its way to a better understanding of theintricacies social and cultural phenomenon that footballoperates in Brazil since the early twentieth century, a periodthat coincides with the strengthening of cinema as anaesthetic experience.
