TEMPO, SEMIOSE E CULTURA NO PROCESSO DE CRIAÇÃO DOS DESIGNERS GRÃFICOS BRASILEIROS
Abstract
The practice of graphic design plays an important part in culture, and it is present in media that involve: print media, advertising, signage and social messages at all scales. Graphic designers make use of signs to create messages, blending typography, color, images and other elements. It is important to investigate the procedural and creative conduct of several designers taking into account the economical and cultural paradox which limits the creation to market forces. The problem which is exposed here attempts to describe the non-linear ways of thinking, which experience different temporalities while setting up projects. The experience of some graphic designers will be individualized: Emilie Chamie, AloÃsio Magalhães, Rogério Duarte, Alexandre Wollner e Guto Lacaz. These designers’ signs, which possess form, materialize into projects related to visualization, through images and texts.
