CRIAÇÃO DE CARACTERES PARA FONTE EXPERIMENTAL BASEADA NA PROPORÇÃO ÃUREA E COM INFLUÊNCIA DOS TRAÇOS DA ESCRITA ORIENTAL JAPONESA

Thaís Regina Ueno

Abstract

This article presents the process of creating typefaces for an experimental font based on golden ratio. At first, the uppercase typefaces of this font were defined through a golden rectangle with 5/8 proportion. They also have characteristics of Japanese katakana alphabet. Afterward numerals and lowercase typefaces were developed using the same proportion and visual characteristics, resulting in a set of visually harmonious characters.
