Abstract

New imagery technology, particularly digital media, opens a huge potential for the creation of new forms of communication. This potential relates mainly to three possibilities: the merging of several languages in a single support, the expansion of forms of interactivity and the viability of collective productions. It is based on this potential that we believe in the ability of using imagery technology as a significant contribution to the educational process. Besides, there is also the possibility of bringing closer the daily life in school to the highly technological life we live. This article presents a discussion about the possibilities of pedagogical use of a technique known as cinemagraphs, related to the communicative process of creating fanfictions (plots built from cultural elements already recognized in the media). We expect to expand the possibilities of pedagogical application so that learners change their role of cultural receptors to become active producers, or interactors.
