Abstract


In this paper we succinctly approach thetheoretical basis of the presented research on mediation andexchange of experiences between professors and studentsand students among themselves considering Vygotsky’ssocial historical view. Next we present the researchmethodology, as well as the Smart Tutorial System built toevaluate the way possible levels of assistance between thedifferent actors are dealt with, in the case of study ofprogramming logics in higher courses in InformationTechnology – IT. Subsequently, we have put this system inoperation and, finally, we have considered the appropriatesolutions proposed by students to the algorithms defined asparameters in the teaching of programming logics, and someresults and conclusions obtainable by means of suchanalysis.Index Terms ⎯ educational software, levels of assistance,mediation, smart tutorial system.
