ESTABILIDADE HIDRÁULICA E SEDIMENTOLOGICA DA EMBOCADURA DO RIO TRAMANDAÍ – ESTUDO QUALITATIVO

Abstract

The study of stability and Sediment hydraulictidal channels and estuaries of the settlement require theunderstanding of empirical relationships, linking themorphological characteristics of the channel mouth to thetidal prism. The objective of this work is to add to thequalitative assessments quantitative assessments regardingthe conditions of stability Mouthpiece Tramandaí River,according to the criteria of O'Brien (1931 and 1969); Bruunand Gerritsen (1960), Jarrett (1976), to studiescommissioned by the state Department of Ports, Rivers andCanals (DEPRC) from Rio Grande do Sul and HydraulicResearch Institute of the University of Rio Grande do SulThe methodology for the development of the research isbased on a descriptive / correlational it consists ofobservation and recording of events that occur in tidalchannels and estuaries. It presents as a result of qualitativeand quantitative study developed from coastal formations.Index Terms  - Tidal channels, estuaries, hydraulic andsedimentological Stability, Rio Tramandaí.
