Ronei Marcos De Moraes, Liliane Dos Santos Machado

Abstract

In medicine, there are procedures performed notby only one person, but by a team of professionals actingsimultaneously. By the use of Virtual Reality (VR) is possibleto create virtual rooms that join people to simulate medicalprocedures. In these cases, collaborative features are usedto coordinate the interactions of the multiple participants inthe environment. Thus, interactions and graphicsrepresentations must be processed in real time to provide asense of realism for all participants. Due to the fact in somemedical procedures the positioning of participants in theroom is important, tracking devices can be used to captureeach user position to allow knowing all users position in theroom. To verify if the group performed the procedurecorrectly, is proposed the use of an assessment methodologybased on possibilistic networks. The goal is allow training ofteams, developing individual competences to work together.Index Terms ⎯  Collaborative Medical Training, Users'Assessment, Virtual Reality, Possibilistic Networks.
