AVALIAÇÃO DA QUALIDADE DA ALIMENTAÇÃO DOS FUNCIONÁRIOS DO SETOR DE LIMPEZA DE UMA UNIVERSIDADE PARTICULAR DE SÃO PAULO

Abstract


Introduction: Life expectation has increased in the late
years, but this progress is not the same in relation to the good food
habits. Methods: In this study the cleaners were invited to analyze
the diet quality. In order to analyze the nutrition diagnoses, it was
taken anthropometric data and the BMI data as well (Body Mass
Index). The analysis diet quality was based on the questionnaire
developed by the Brazilian Health Ministry and the results categorize
the diet in: Suitable; Suitable-Partial and Unsuitable. Results: In
relation to IMC 47,1% cleaners were submitted as being high-weight
or obese, 48,5% was normal and 4,4% was low-weight. In diet
quality 77,9% cleaners were submitted as suitable-partial.
Conclusion: The result in this study is good but the obesity
prevailed. This way, it is necessary a program of nutrition education
for better improvement and prevent the disease associated to obesity.
