Abstract

The disorderly urban development plan and the absence of a director of urban drainage are pointed out as the main responsible for the increase in the number of flooded areas in different Brazilian cities. This work aims to bring the general understanding of the different parts of civil society the reasons for the necessity of implementing a structure for macrodrainage in the stream bed Aricanduva. The planning of the research for the development of this work is based on descriptive study, as notes, records and seeks to establish a functional relationship between the events that occur. The concern and awareness of different parts of society, with the need of removing the excess of rain water more efficiently as possible through the implementation of the structures in the stream of macrodrainage Aricanduva should present as a result beneficial to minimize the inconvenience, damage and risks of flooding in its basin.
