SINCRONISMO EM REDES DE SENSORES SEM FIO

Mauro Ferrari Scarpato, Paulo Alves Garcia

Abstract

This article presents and discusses thesynchronism techniques in Wireless Sensors Networks -WSN. Initially the need of synchronism in data exchange ofthese networks and the ways for getting the synchronizationstate, are described. The kind of networks and thesynchronous time distribution architectures are presented.Additionally, some issues found in WSN, like power supplyenergy limitation, variability of the media, externalinterferences and coverage area limitation are discussed. Some mentioned problems can result in signal loss and as aresult of this, synchronization loss. Some protocols forreaching synchronism in networks are analyzed, such as:Reference Broadcast Synchronization RBS e Timing-SyncProtocol for Sensor Networks TPSN. There are manymethods for WSN synchronism guaranty. This article intendsto analyze the main techniques used nowadays for thisapplication, comparing them in technical and functionalaspects.Index Terms  ⎯ Synchronism, Wireless Sensors Networks,Synchronism techniques.
