Abstract


This paper presents the implementation of ateaching methodology model on project engineeringeducation on University of Minho. This methodology usuallyfollows an interdisciplinary approach, relating andreflecting on contents in order to solve a specific problem.Taking as a theoretical approach cooperative learning orpeer learning, this teaching methodology has takenparticular relevance for the operationalization of theguidelines of Bologna Declaration developed in Europe,which particularly emphasizes students learning. It isdescribed tutors and students’ work, from the design stagethrough to implementation and project evaluation,highlighting the strengths and difficulties associated withthis new model of teaching and learning.
