Abstract


The challenges and the new models of highereducation make it necessary to reconsider the ties betweenthe State, universities and society. Within this context the“Alfa III Project – USO+I: University, Society andInnovation – Improvements in Engineering´s educationpertinence in Latin-America.” takes place. This project aimsto improve the quality of professional training, whichimplies pedagogical structures and social pertinence ´simprovement. This paper deals with education inEngineering through some key issues: Institutionalstrengthening that comes from evaluations andaccreditations, and training based on certain competencesas an answer to educational needs in the actual century. Thepaper presents an approach form engineers that graduatedfrom Facultad de Ciencias Exactas, Físicas y Naturales-UNC-RA, related to their abilities, knowledge and skillsacquired through the career. Another topic deals with thefact that different views contribute to get over the systemicvisions fragmented intelligence.Key words - accreditation -competences - - graduates.
