Abstract


In the learning Mathematics in the VirtualCourses at the Department of Exact, Physical and NaturalSciences the priority is the student’s performance. Thisimplies self-learning, development of critical and creativethinking and performing a collaborative work through TIC’sand virtual tutoring. The objective of this research is toevaluate the learning process from a sample of incomingstudents to the engineering degree courses (2010) at theUniversidad Nacional de Cordoba in the study of Algebraand Trigonometry. As a conclusion, it can be observed thatthose students who opted for this methodology for theMathematics course had a greater percentage of successwith regards to those who opted for other methodologies(with or without classroom-based courses).Index Terms ⎯ Learning Mathematics, virtual courses,student’s performance.
