DESARROLLO DE UN SOFTWARE PARA LA GENERACIÓN,VALIDACIÓN Y CLASIFICACIÓN DE FUNCIONES: UNA CONTRIBUCIÓN A LA ENSEÑANZA DE LAS MATEMÁTICAS.

Abstract

One of the most powerful concepts inmathematics is the concept of function. However, in theeducational context, students have some problemsunderstanding and applying such concept. This is one ofmany reasons why is necessary to propose different teachingtechniques in order to study functions and, in the process,integrate other fields of knowledge such as Computation(Computer Sciences). In other hand, Mexico has an incipientdevelopment of educational software which limits theteaching-learning process, particularly in the field ofmathematics. In this paper, a theoretical framework isdeveloped in order to address the concept of function. AnASP.Net 2005 application is developed to help build theproposed functions. To conclude, the aim of this work is todevelop computer based tools to increase the comprehensionand mastery of mathematics in students and teachers.Index Terms ⎯ Educational Mathematics, Functions,Programming, ASP.Net 2005.
