MODELAGEM MATEMÁTICA DA FILTRAÇÃO UTILIZANDO MÉTODO DE LEVENBERG-MARQUARDT
Abstract
Filtration can be considered one of the majorprocesses used in the treatment of water supply. For theimprovement of the conditions of operation it is necessary toknow the particles removal mechanisms, as well as have abetter control and forecast, which can be obtained through amathematical model of the filtration process. Both theattachment as the detachment occurs simultaneously in thefilter media and these mechanisms change adhesion forcesbetween the particles and these with the Grand sink. Thiswork presents a mathematical model using a macroscopicanalysis of filtration process both in terms of removal ofturbidity in terms of development of pressure loss whichoccurred during the filtration cycle in the context of watertreatment technologies that utilize the down flow filtration.Experimental data were used for direct filtration of modelvalidation of filtration.Index Terms ⎯ Direct Filtration, mathematical modeling, water treatment, down flow filtration, Levenberg-Marquardt.
