A EXPERIÊNCIA DE ENSINO DE ARQUITETURA E URBANISMO NO CURSO DE ENGENHARIA CIVIL AERONÁUTICA DO ITA

Abstract

This paper presents an architecture andurbanism teaching experience with emphasis applyingprinciples and techniques of sustainability and bioclimaticprojects in the engineering course of the ITA in São José dosCampos, Brazil. ITA is an engineering school with a highdegree of specialization in aeronautical engineers formingand a pioneer course in the area with recognizedcompetence in the country. Initially it is presented a briefhistory of the allocation of the discipline in the curriculumwhere it realizes its transit in several locations along thecourse of time. The topics of Architecture and Urbanismintegrate the curriculum guidelines of the MEC for the civilengineering courses, this raises the need to think aboutformats and contents which can provide support toengineering professional in the field to deal with issues ofbuilding design and city in a world that increasingly calmsto sustainable solutions to the habitat.Index Terms  ⎯ Architecture Teaching, Design, Curriculum,Sustainability.
