DIRETRIZES CURRICULARES NA GRADUAÇÃO EM TECNOLOGIA: DESAFIOS DA FORMAÇÃO E INSERÇÃO PROFISSIONAL DO TECNÓLOGO

Abstract


In 1970, the State Education Council of SãoPaulo authorized the first course for technologist formationat Centro Paula Souza (CEETEPS). The report CEE/SP n.50/70 established that the technologist should fill the blankbetween the engineer and the specialized worker, being alinking bond between the scientist and the technician. TheReport, in a dualist logic on the formation of the individualsand the different sectors of society, considered that thetechnologist should be more empathized with the practicalapplications of theorical principles, thus more distant andunconcerned of these theorical princples’ development.Thirty years past this report, the structural dichotomy and aprejudice considering the technologist an improvedtechnician or a worse engineer endure. This paper’sobjective is, through specific documentation andbiblographic review, present the limits of this prejudicewhen confronted with the legislation and working conditionsresulting from productive reconstruction.Index terms - Curricular Directives on TechnologyGraduation: challenges of the technologist’s formation andProfessional insertion.
