PROJETO DE BANCADA DE TESTES PARA ESTUDOS EM TRANSMISSÕES WI-FI

Abstract

This work describes the construction of a testworkbench on witch several Wi-Fi parameters andmanagement data can be obtained and made available toIEEE802.11 network management tools. For this, softwareand hardware architecture is used and a Wi-Fi network ismonitored, management data are stored in a databaseavailable to be used by some application. This architecturehas total control over all user connections, includingauthentication, connection finish, connection monitoring interms of bandwidth and allocation of different bandwidths tothe users. Whith this framework, management tools canproactively act to limit users traffic based in somemanagement criteria (i. e. gold, silver or bronze users; if theuser is an offending for the network or not).Index Terms ⎯ IEEE802.11, Wi-Fi, telecommunicationsnetwork Management, QoS, Quality of Service, Bandwidth.
