METHODOLOGICAL COMPETENCE OF ENGINEER

Abstract

Modern Russian standards of EngineeringEducation are based on different competences, according towhich the targets, content, methods and technologies oftraining are determined. One of the essential competencesamong the others is “an ability of self education anddeveloping his/her own professional qualification”.However the practice proves that the developing of theabove mentioned competence requires an integral approachbased on achievements in modern Pedagogical Science andpractical training of specialists, requirements of industries.One of the possible ways of solving this global task is aspecial combination of the contents of training subjects andintellectual technologies of a knowledge acquisition whendeveloping methodological competence of an engineer.Index Terms ⎯ methodology, competence, approach,engineering education.
