SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AS A PART OF THE ENGINEERING STUDIES
Abstract
As is well known, technology shapes not only thepresent but also and above all the future. When technicallymanufactured products or systems are used, they put most ofthe time material flow in motion, information is channeled, saved and / or transformed, energy is consumed, and alsowastages and emissions are generated. In this way, manchanges a natural environment through technology and inparallel society also changes. In doing so, the generationsfollowing us inherit a world that looks evidently differentfrom the world our generation has inherited from thegenerations before us. These changes are influenced to agood extent through technology and existing organizationalstructures, which man accepts, incorporates and are testedand steadily modified in order to pass into new situationsaccordingly. Whether the society behaves sufficientlysustainably from this point of view depends, thus, heavilyfrom the appropriateness of the relationship between Man-Technology-Organization.
