RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVING THE DYNAMIC CALCULATIONS OF ROAD BRIDGES
Abstract
The article is written in a study of the dynamiceffects of vehicles on bridges. Spans a variety of bridgestructures during the passage of vehicles on them aredynamic action. The extent of this impact in the design ofbridges is taken into account design standards for more thana hundred years with the help of dynamic coefficientsrepresenting the ratio of the deflections or the efforts of thedynamic effects of vehicles on the bridges to the deflectionor the efforts of the static of their impact. Norms ofdesigning bridges across Europe, America and Asia containdifferent formulas for calculating these factors, taken on thebasis of many different theoretical and experimentalstudies.In this article we aim to examine the most famous ofthem and evaluate them in terms of physical their validity.Index Terms ⎯ damping coefficient, dimensionlessparameters, dynamic factor, frequency of load changes,natural vibration frequency.
