THE TEACHERS’ PERSPECTIVE OF STUDENTS’ CHEATING
Abstract
The students’ cheating is one of the currentproblems of school environment. Abroad, we can find manyworks dealing with this issue from the students’ point ofview. This report, however, explains this problem from theteachers’ perspective, how they perceive students’ cheatingand their means to counter it. The biggest threat that thesurvey shows is that cheating is taken as some "lesser evil",or social phenomenon, which do all, and even teachers inpast. Frequently occurring defense of fraud is describing itas way of preparing for exam or managing stress. Teachersoften abandon the hunt for cheating for various objectiveand subjective reasons.Index Terms ⎯ academic cheating, plagiarism, teacher,prevention.
