Abstract


This paper deals with skills that should beknown, learned or improved with respect to the teaching ofdance in different age groups and their correspondingpsychomotor difficulties. One important objective is toprovide options for the teacher to correlate recreationalactivities during the lessons and enhance learning inrelation to student’s physical space and body awareness. Itsapplication is valid for teachers committed to improve thequality of their teaching with respect to physical and mentalaspects of the practice of this art. This is important for theprofessional who wants to stand out in the dance communityfor its seriousness and teaching competencies. It is also akey factor for student satisfaction, positive class evaluationand his consequent interest in returning to future classes oreven to participate in a dance show.
